I've tried both and I would take the notification LED over the active display anytime. With the notification LED, the color tells you exactly which app and which kind of notification you have as it's fully customizable, and you can pretty much see it from across the room (even if there's no way to reach the screen). RGB notification LED is an inferior version of having an AMOLED screen where the whole screen can function as notification LED in any way imaginable.Įven if the screen flashes lightly (and with low colors), you still need to take a look at it and actually READ the text to know what notifications you have.
